Technical Services
Integrated Logistics Support
RDSI provides system acquisition and project management support. We develop specifications in accordance with Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL) and Data Item Descriptions (DID) for system acquisition and support. We conduct analyses to determine the optimum level of logistics support and cost/benefit analysis on recommended enhancements.
Documentation Development
RDSI prepares, revises, and updates program planning and support documentation. We perform evaluation of existing logistics, configuration, and data management support documents, and recommend improvements or enhancements. We also develop configuration management, maintenance, and training plans.
Technical Documentation
RDSI develops and publishes supply, maintenance, and operations manuals. We review and recommend improvements to existing technical manuals and operating procedures. We maintain technical documentation control centers to include data bank operations, documentation production and coordination, and publication support.
Product Assurance
RDSI prepares quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) plans and procedures, develops and performs reliability, maintainability, and availability (RM&A) analyses, and performs product and assembly assurance testing. Our project quality checks start at the very beginning, ensuring that each step is verified, from initial designs through final product testing.
Data Management
RDSI reviews contract specifications to determine all of the data requirements, tailors Data Item Descriptions (DID), and prepares Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) exhibits and all associated attachments on time. We also prepare Data Management (CM) directives and procedures, develop and maintain automated configuration control and reporting systems, and establish and maintain contract data repositories.
